I think it’s wonderful that we have a Roald Dahl day to celebrate one of the most beloved authors in literature. He was incredible and his work became a huge part of my childhood growing up. I loved Fantastic Mr Fox, Matilda and The Twits (seriously that’s going to be me and my partner one day!) but my favourite has to be George’s Marvellous Medicine. What’s yours? Note to self, I need to buy the Roald Dahl collection…
I loved Danny the Champion of the World which my teacher read over a number of weeks at the end of each day (I was about 8 at the time) but I came to love the BFG when reading it to my children. Wonderful author and he deserves a ‘day’

It sounds like a cliché, but Matilda was my favorite. It’s hard to pick just one, though, everything Dahl wrote was just marvelous.

Oh, Roald Dahl. The first man who had my heart! I plan on reading all his books outloud to my kids. He really makes reading so much fun.
I just wish he had wrote a few more before he died! 😦
Yes, BFG and the Witches were both awesome. But I still go back and read Revolting Rhymes every once in a while.
